Leadership Team
Clay Wallace- Founder
Clay and his wife Barbara launched Dallas Metro in 1993. Together they have served the children and families of Dallas’ inner-city since 1988. Clay’s creative communication skills have made him extremely successful in reaching out to at-risk children, allowing him to become a mentor to the masses.
Born and raised in Arlington, TX, Clay is a true D/FW native. He is a die-hard Texas Rangers fan, and an avid fisherman. He has two children, Brent and Carmen, four grandchildren: Kyla, Nathan, Lauren, and Kadyn, and three great-grandchildren.
James Musyoki - Director of Operations
James joined Dallas Metro in 2004, and has served in many capacities over the years, but his first calling is to children. He is passionate about helping children learn ways to make it through life each day. He lights up when visiting children, or teaching at a Metro Kids program.
James is from El Paso, TX, but is grateful to be out of the desert. He is a die-hard Trekkie, and his happy place is on a cruise.
Crissy Robertson- Director of Events
Crissy joined Dallas Metro in 2002. She is an organization and planning master, and helps make sure that all our major events go off like clockwork. She has the ability to quickly sort out details and formulate a plan to make ministry happen.
Crissy is from Sherman, TX. She loves to spend time with her friends and family, and goes camping as often as she can.
Brent Wallace- Fleet & Facilities Manager
Brent joined Dallas Metro in 2005, but has been around much longer. He is incredibly handy, and has the knowledge, or figure out how to repair just about anything. While he may claim to be a quiet person, his strength is his ability to build relationships. The families on his visitation routes look forward to spending time with him each week.
Brent is a D/FW native. He and his wife Sandra have two children: Nathan and Lauren. Brent is an avid cyclist, and has completed three 100 mile bicycle races.
Melinda Robertson- Intern Director
Melinda originally joined our staff in 2004 for two years, and returned in 2015. She has an incredibly tender heart, and goes out of her way to show love and compassion to the children and families of Dallas. She has a keen eye for decorating, and can make any of our events elegant for pennies.
Melinda was born in Kingston, OK. She has one daughter, Morgan. She loves exploring new stores while looking for inspiration, visiting art museums, and cooking.
Carina Thomas- Metro Kids Director
Carina has been around Metro her entire life, and joined our staff in 2013. She has a passion to teach and train children. Her childhood in one of the very neighborhoods she serves helps give her a unique perspective to reach out to the hurting children she sees all over the city.
Carina grew up in Dallas, and as a child and teenager attended Dallas Metro. She is a family woman and especially loves spending time with her nieces and nephews, and of course with her husband Timothy, whom she married in 2018. They have two daughters, Genesis and Bella.
Timothy Thomas- Youth Department Director
Timothy has been a part of Dallas Metro his entire life. He was especially impacted by the youth program, and feels a special calling to help inner-city teenagers find their purpose. His background in the city helps him connect with the children and families that we encounter every day. Timothy is also the Lead Pastor of Dallas Metro Church in Oak Cliff.
Timothy is a Dallas native. He is married to Carina, with whom he has two daughters, Genesis and Bella. He loves music, and has played the drums both for worship bands and marching bands for many years. When not playing the drums, he loves dominating at Settlers of Catan.
